About me

I was born and raised in Mexico.

When I turned eight years old, my family and I moved to Vancouver, BC Canada where I studied all types of dance at Dance Co and Harbour Dance Center.

When I turned eighteen I moved to New York City where I lived for five years. I studied Business at Pace University, and continued my dance education at Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, Pace University, The Tango Company and Gibney Dance (amongst others). I also opened my own dance company: Sosa Dance Company.

After NYC, I moved back to Mexico City where I completed an MBA at IPADE Business School. I also continued learning different styles of dance at La Cantera & Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Hidalgo.

After graduating, I moved to London, UK where I completed a Masters in Science at The City University of London. In London, I learned from teachers at Pineapple Dance, Studio 68, The Place, Rambert, and Oh Creative Space.

Now, I am back in Vancouver, BC and happy to set my roots here. Currently I am working as Business Manager at a small company, and I co-founded a dance collective (alongside Jenna Berlyn, Samantha Krystal, and Will Jessup) called Okams Racer which hosts interdisciplinary live shows around Vancouver. I am also a big Bitcoin enthusiast and a part of the Bitcoin community here in Vancouver.

Okams Racer is a newly formed contemporary dance collective based in Vancouver, BC. We are Jenna Berlyn, Ana Sosa, Will Jessup and Samantha Krystal, four artists with a passion for contemporary dance, choreography, cinematography and design.

Okams Racer is based on the philosophical rule known as Occam’s Razor. Created by British philosopher William of Ockham (1287-1347), this rule states that the simplest explanation is usually the correct one when problem solving.
